According to ITC statistics, the United States remains the leading importer of furniture group (HS94), accounting for 28.1% of the world’s total import turnover. Vietnam has risen to the second position in terms of supplying this group of goods.
From 2017 to now, the trend of importing furniture group (HS94) has increased, an average of 3% per year. In 2021 alone, the US’s import turnover reached US$81.39 billion, up 24% over the previous year.
China is currently the largest supplier of this group of goods to the United States, with a stable turnover of about 30 billion USD in the period 2017-2021. Vietnam surpassed Mexico to rank second in turnover, with high growth in the last two years, reaching a turnover of 14.28 billion USD, accounting for 17.55% of the total import turnover of the United States. By the end of May 2022, this turnover reached 7.14 billion USD, up 9.42% over the same period last year.
