Nanning, China – May 22, 2025 – Vietnam is stepping up its efforts to expand international cooperation in the mineral sector, with a high-level delegation from the Vietnam Global E-Commerce Association (VGECA) participating in the world’s largest International Mineral Expo in Nanning, China. The visit aims to promote Vietnamese mineral exports, forge new trade relationships, and attract foreign investment.
A highlight of the event was a keynote speech by Ms. Võ Huyền, Secretary General of the Vietnam E-Commerce Association. Speaking to a global audience of industry leaders and policymakers, Ms. Võ emphasized the strategic role of the association in strengthening bilateral business ties between Vietnam and China.
“Our Association serves as a vital connector between the business communities of both nations,” she said. “Through dialogue, collaboration, and shared goals, we are helping to unlock new opportunities that benefit both economies and reinforce the broader Vietnam–China trade partnership.”
Her remarks received strong attention from attending Chinese enterprises and regional stakeholders, many of whom expressed interest in deepening ties with Vietnamese partners, particularly in areas such as mineral procurement, processing technologies, and cross-border digital trade.
The VGECA delegation’s presence in Nanning underscores Vietnam’s broader push to integrate more deeply into global supply chains, transition from raw material exports to value-added processing, and strengthen its role in Asia’s industrial ecosystem. China remains one of Vietnam’s largest trading partners, and the expo provided a timely opportunity to reaffirm cooperation amid global market shifts.
The International Mineral Expo in Nanning draws thousands of participants from across Asia, Europe, and North America. Vietnam’s engagement this year highlights not only its rich mineral potential but also its growing capacity for trade leadership in the region.
