Nanning, China – May 22, 2025 – Alongside its participation in the International Mineral Expo in Nanning, the Vietnam Global E-Commerce Association (VGECA) also took part in the Connect 004 business forum, where it unveiled a forward-looking initiative: promoting the export of Vietnamese architectural design services to the U.S. market.
Speaking at the event, VGECA representatives highlighted the untapped potential of this high-value service export, particularly for Vietnamese architecture firms with strong technical expertise and competitive pricing. With the U.S. architectural services market estimated at $70–124 billion USD per year, VGECA believes this is a prime opportunity for Vietnam to expand its global footprint beyond traditional goods exports.
“This is not just about cost savings for U.S. partners,” a VGECA delegate said. “Vietnamese firms bring creativity, precision, and adaptability to the table. With the right digital infrastructure and marketing strategy, we can position Vietnam as a trusted outsourcing hub for architectural design.”
The idea drew interest from international attendees, especially in the context of rising demand for flexible, remote-friendly service models in construction and real estate development. By leveraging digital platforms and cross-border collaboration, Vietnamese firms could take on design tasks for everything from residential buildings to complex infrastructure projects abroad.
This initiative reflects VGECA’s broader mission: not only to promote Vietnamese exports but also to guide businesses in embracing global digital commerce trends. It marks a strategic shift from product-based exports to high-value knowledge and service exports—aligning with Vietnam’s goals for economic diversification and innovation.
