Hanoi, 24 July 2025 — The Vietnam Global E-commerce Association (VGEA) has sealed a strategic alliance with Simplus.vn, one of the country’s largest consumer-electronics distribution platforms, to give Chinese manufacturers a faster, cleaner path into Vietnam’s 100-million-strong market.
What the deal covers
Focus | Details |
---|---|
Nationwide reach | Simplus.vn’s network of thousands of retail outlets will serve as the physical backbone for a new, large-scale distribution channel. |
Cost efficiency | Centralised logistics and inventory management aim to cut operating costs for both overseas suppliers and local resellers. |
Market acceleration | VGEA will vet and onboard Chinese brands, while Simplus.vn handles last-mile delivery, marketing and after-sales support. |
Why it matters
- Bigger product mix, sharper prices — Vietnamese shoppers stand to gain more choices and more competitive pricing as supply broadens.
- Shortcut to scale for Chinese brands — Instead of building distribution from scratch, manufacturers can plug straight into Simplus.vn’s infrastructure.
- Strategic fit for VGEA — The partnership dovetails with VGEA’s mandate to expand cross-border e-commerce and fortify Vietnam’s retail ecosystem.
“Working with a platform as strong as Simplus.vn is exactly the springboard we need to deepen Vietnam’s integration with global supply chains,” a VGEA spokesperson said.
Both sides plan to launch the first wave of products in Q4 2025, accompanied by a marketing push highlighting warranty coverage and local service centres to reassure consumers about quality and support.
