Association Sets Ambitious Plan to Brand Vietnam as a Creative-Economy Powerhouse

Hanoi, 24 July 2025 — An industry association has used a high-profile event this week to unveil its strategy for turning Vietnam into a global hub for creative innovation.

The group wants Vietnam to “leapfrog” into the ranks of leading knowledge-economy nations by harnessing the arts to generate compelling digital content and export-ready intellectual property (IP).

Key objectives include:

  • Building a durable IP ecosystem. The association will foster closer ties among businesses, investors, and creators to help ideas move quickly from concept to global market.
  • Maximising IP value. Training and advisory programmes will teach creators how to protect, license, and scale their work, ensuring long-term revenue streams.
  • Establishing an international brand. Under the banner “Mind in Vietnam,” the initiative aims to make Vietnamese-made digital content a recognised and trusted mark worldwide.

Organisers argue that a robust pipeline of original IP is essential if Vietnam is to become a top seller in the knowledge-driven era. “Creative industries are the new growth engine,” a spokesperson said. “By investing in talent and safeguarding IP, Vietnam can compete on equal footing with the world’s best.”

The association plans to roll out pilot projects later this year, beginning with partnerships in animation, gaming, and immersive media.
